Nothing listed below will make you a writer or guarantee your success.  You are the only one who can do that.  Writing, persevering, and sharing your work is the only real things you need (A notebook might help, though).  However, the items below are useful for actually creating the work, getting it noticed, or just living a life of writing.

Divi Theme: I’ve used many, many, many themes over the course of many sites (both my own and others’) and by far Divi theme is the most user-friendly.  If you’re not a WordPress pro (or even if you are), give Divi a look.  It’s easy to install, easy to customize, and the customer service is unlike any sites I’ve used.  I recently installed this theme for one of my gigs (Peregrine Kinship Travel Blog) and I allocated so many more hours than I needed to figuring it out and customize it. I wish I had found this when I was just beginning and I would have avoided so. much. headache.
